Hey guys i just recently bought some selenium 6.5 mids(8ohm) and super tweeters(8ohm) and i want to run them active off of my amp(Orion 4004) if possible i would like to keep the amp bridged so its 200x2 @4ohms because i need all the power i can get to my vocals and highs to keep up with the bass.

My head unit is a pioneer premier deh-p960mp which i was told will allow me to go active without the use of an additional crossover if it is in pro-mode.

Can anyone explain to me how i need to go about doing this? i would like to get these put in today.

if i can keep the amp at 200x2 ... should i do the 2 super tweeters parellel together on one channel and the 2 mids parellel off the other?

Any help will be very much appreciated... i have been doing a lot of searching and have come up with nothing

Thanks in advance!

No exp with that Pioneer so im not sure about it being able to do active, but..

If you do go active, leave the amp unbridged. Put one speaker per channel.

Since they 8 ohm, you could wire it up like you mention, but you would lose stereo seperation, and just not sound correct.

If its not able to do active from the HU, you could always get a external electronic crossover like the Coustic xm6 or something along those lines.

In short, you are hosed.
Like said above, any form of parallel or series wiring your tweeters or mids together would lose left/right separation. That's pretty basic.

You are looking at 8ohms per channel into 4 channels. With that amp, a measly 25x4 watts. Your speakers being 8ohm are really gonna hurt your amplifier output going fully active, and you are starting off with a fairly small amplifier to begin with.
