Need help, first time

Hey everyone. I currently drive an 03 Saab 9-3arc. I'm looking to spend around 600 bucks, and want some nice bump in my car. Id love to feel the bass in my chest, because right now I'm working with like 150 watts lol. Im a complete noob when it comes to car audio so if anyone could tell me what I need, like subs amps, sterio w.e.. Or who I should go see to help me out. Thanks guys uki

dont go to walmart!

you need a amp, sub that can handle your amp, encloser for sub(ported or not), wirring kit off ebay (kicker or tsunami), and a head unit if you dont have one already.

get:

RE SE 15"-180.00 (ebay)

kicker 4ga wire kit (ebay)

look around here for a box, a headunit, and amp

I did an install in a saab 900se and there not the easiest cars to do an install in. But I would look at a few sites or look on the for sale here for amps and speakers.

JL Audio 12W3v3 on ebay for around 150. my friend is telling me to buy that. What would be a good amp for that sub? where I live there arnt any places that install subs, theres one but they drilled holes in my friends 3000 dollar Audi gas tank so Im going to look elsewhere. I guess finding someone who does it for a hobby would work?

You already have an enclosure or you plan on building one?? If so is that separte from your $600 budget??

Im going to need to buy one I guess.. My dads a carpenter, not sure how hard it is to make an enclosure but he builds 4000 square foot houses I'm pretty sure he could handle it.

I would utilize your dads talent and have him build you a a sealed enclosure out of MDF. Also I would definatly check out the new Mag v4 12" sub that is made specificly for a sealed enclosure. Its only 5.5" deep and its mounting depth is 4.75" plus it only needs a 1 cubic foot enclosure so you will save your trunk space from being eaten up by a system. It can handle a 1000watts, has a superbly clean sound even when cranked up all the way plus it sound great with any genre of music. For an Amp I would go with the Sundown Audio SAE-1000D simply cus its a very reliable amp and you can get a combo deal for like $550 so you can still have some cash to build a small box.
