need help finding (buying) an alternator plug

hi all,

i bought a high output alternator here last year. the original seller said that it was a full size GM alternator came off an old explorer. recently the plug became a little loose causing bad connection at high rpm.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif so i need to replace it with a new one. would someone pls tell me where i can buy one? thanks!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

It's an Explorer but the alternator is GM? I don't know much about car parts but this sounds troublesome.

that was what the seller said in his thread. i duno much about car parts either. i just built a custom fit bracket to install it in my mazda

everything worked fine for more than half a year until now the plug became little loose. i tried using a small screwdriver to bend the metal plates inside the plug so that they can touch the pins of the alternater socket better. but that only worked for couple weeks. then the plug became loose again. so i guess the permanent solution would be replacing the plug with a new one. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

i wana get a brand new one. a used one might have the same bad connection problem:crazy:

parts store has them they call them a pigtail. It will be a new plug with bare wires to splice into the old wires.

thanks man! you mean stores like autozone and kragen? or do i need to go to some brand/part specialized part stores? if so, which kinda part store?
