NEED HELP FAST! I am trying to hook up my wireless gaming adapter..

I followed the instructions and all that but it would not work..

I entered WEP and set it up using my wireless network and then I would reconnect the adapter to my xbox 360.. then it would not detect anything.. comes up as an error.. any ideas?

well on my xbox it shows that there is no internet connection..

i tried to set up my adapter using my computer (i followed the instructions)

and then hook up the adapter to my xbox but it wont work at all.. not sure why..

do you have an xbox 360 or xbox original wireless adapter? or are you using a 3rd party adapter?

3rd party adapter.. it is by linksys but it is made for gaming machines..

That could be your problem. I dont think you can use one other that Microsofts. I could be completely wrong though.

pretty sure you have to use the 360 adapter only. that's your problem.

The linksys should work. It's just a problem with the setup.

i have yet to see one that works w/ the 360. I have tried 5 diff wireless adapters on my 360.

sorry bro, you are gonna have to spend the coin to get the 360 adapter most likly.

i know one member here that is using this adapter with his 360 with no problem so I am sure it is possible but it is not going to be easy..

But if that is the case then **** I just wasted 50 bucks lol..

I am going to try doing this... but the problem is that when i am asked to give password.. I would type in "admin" in the username and password bars but it would not work, it says the password or username is incorrect..

wtf? i have my own username and password.. I tried that and it wouldnt work either..

any idea how can I get thru??

I finally made it into my wireless router AND my wireless adapter..

everything is good but there is one problem..

I think my wireless gaming adapter wasnt working because of my wireless router's security was set at WPA2.. My gaming adapter recognizes only WEP passwords

so I attempted to make a switch from WPA2 to WEP in my wireless router set up, but then my wireless would not work.. It keep saying "connection timed out"

any ideas how can I make WEP work? if I am able to do that then I should be all good with connecting my new wireless gaming adapter to my 360..
