Need help determining if I need an amp

Hi guys,

I have recently started work on the stereo system in my 1979 camaro. I have all the interior disassembled including carpet so now is the best time to tackle this. I have recently installed Sony Xplod speakers in the rear. They are two 250w max power, 50WRMS?, at 4 ohms. I will be putting in two smaller speakers in the front of the center console, 100w, 50w rms, 4 ohms:

My receiver is a pioneer deh-245 35w x 4. I don't know much about this stuff but it seems to me that those four speakers will be way to big for that deck. So is it worthwhile to drop this amp in :

Is it worth the 70 dollars plus wires? Will I see a bid difference? Any info helps a lot. Thanks!

I wouldn't buy it. If you could save up to around $150, you would have quite a few good options to choose from.

while you have everything gutted, this would be the perfect time to add sound deadener...

To answer your question, yes you will need an amp to get the best performance from your speakers. The HU amp will not make you happy.
