They are in the same price range, and I am planning to buy 2 and put them on a optimal sealed enclosure (according to the manufacturer specs) powering them with a MTX TD1000.1D at 2Ohms which will give arround 300W RMS to each sub. I have already looked at the specs and I cannot make up my mind. I'm looking for SQ, but if it is posibble the one that has the best balance between SPL and SQ.

Basically what is keeping me to deside wich one to buy is:
which one will be louder without distoring?
which one has better quality in regards to durability?
how important is xmax? because it seems that the Pioneer sub exeeds the JBL in everithing but xmax.
