I have a 200A stinger alternator in my car that I feel is going to waste with only 1000 watts going to my subs and 400 watts going to my fronts.
Does anyone know how much power I can push with the 200A alternator on music in a daily driver? I have only 1 yellow top in the back and don't really want to upgrade the electrical anymore other than maybe 1 extra battery.
Am I able to go 3000 watts to the subs with the electrical I currently have? If so I am wanting advice on what to get for subs. I'll probably get the Sundown 3000 (because Jake has been too cool to me), and I need to get either 1 15" that can handle 3000 by itself, or 2 12" that can handle around 1500 each. I think the 1 15" would be cheaper, but I think I'd be sacrificing SQ alot going with a sub that can handle 3k by itself, rather than 2 subs that are handling 1500.
Anyone have any clue on what they would do? I have a grand prix with about 4-5 cubes to work with. Want the subs to be less than 400$ each (will pay more if quality says its worth it).
