Need help choosing an amp for my sub.

I have a 4ohm Boston SPG 555 which handles 1000 watts RMS. Im thinking about buying a Power Acoustik Demon 4000 amp which has 1200 watts RMS at 4ohms. I understand 1200 watts is too much power for this sub, but Power Acoustik tends to overrate their amps... So my question is, will this amp push my sub to its FULL potential WITHOUT damaging it? OR does anybody suggest another amp for about the same price (between 150$-250$)

power acoustik ftw... lol jk.. if i was going to use any PA amp it would be the bamf/5500.

true but the bamf5500 puts out 1700 watts on 4ohms and thats a little much. and as for the diamond audio amp it only puts 1000 watts on 1ohm. mine is 4ohms

My Boston gt28...pm If interested ~1000@4 or avionixx axt 1200.2 ~1400@4

Give that 555 1200 RMS ALL DAY LONG! DO IT. It'll take it like a ******* champ. Or just set it with a DMM and have 200 watts of headroom and it'll sound better not stressing the amp 100%
