need help and information on how to pick out the right sub and amp

I used to have 2 12" Boston g1, I loved them but they were my friends, and now I want my own I don't really know what subs are compatible with what amps, I have a budget around $800, if anyone could just help me out with some guide lines on what subs and amps go together that would be awesome, and also I want 2 12" subs preferred to be round
