Need Help About Alternator....

Alright i'm about to start my new SUMMER PROJECT, yea baby lol. Here is what i am purchasing to make me my system. Heres the system:::

HU: Alpine 9813

Comps: CDT Audio CL61a's

CompsAmp: US Ascoutics 2080 amp

Sub: RE 12" XXX

AMP: RE 35-1d Amp

BAttery: Red Top

HEre is the question. With all that setup and everything what kind of alternator should i look for? Im thinking 200a alt. What you guys think? Would 150a alt be cool? Or should i just go for 200a alt. Or should i go for like 180a alt? What you guys think. I may add to the current system in mind. So what you guys think? Also where do you think i can get some custom alternators built for me? Im going to look around town but i want to see what i can get off the interent. I know baout Ampman. But thats about it, where else should i look. Thanks guys, icant wait to get all my stuff.

I think your system will pound, even tho i dont really like RE from experience. but you will be just fine with a 180, but if you plan to upgreade, you will need the 200, and why do you want a red top? If you have enough room to do another alt. then wire both alts up and do another battery in the back of your car(yellow top) and run it off the other alt and just to the amps. go look at the manhatten genarators, hahah, nice. good luck

150 should be fine, depending on what other aceessories you ahve going in your car, 180 would be a nice one to look at tho. the ohio generators are some of the best, but horrendously expensive. check out ebay, http://www.4alterstart.com/, and a number of ther places.

Alterstart has been very good to me and many people I have sent there. They are not chromed or anything like show quality but they are well built and cheap.

I have looked at all these alt websites and I can not seem to find a place that makes alts for xterras does anyone know where I might try to find one

and if not, where would be a good shop or type of shop to get an alt rewound at?

Call alterstart they make alts for any car. I even had a customer request one for a 1983 Ford Pinto. I figured no way, but they made one for him.

Thank you guys very much for all the information you've given me. But it seems like im just not looking in the right place lol. Either im stupid and cant do anything or i dunno lol. My car that i have is a 92 Honda Civic, stock engine. I just cant seem to find any place that has Honda alternators on the internet. Im going to start emailing these places but does anyone know of any that will make them/do make them. Like have you had expericance and own a civic/honda? Thanks again guys, hopefully i can find myself my alternator, cause im really excited to get my system going.

I was looking at highoutalternators.com and i found 2 types of alternators and i am a little confused. Dual Rectifier with Self-Exciting Voltage Regulator, and the Dual Rectifier with OEM Voltage Regulator. Whats the difference between these alternators. Which one would best be fit for my civic?
