need help 99 explorer QUICK!!!

[93 saturn sl2 10+ year member]

My friend has a 99 Explorer Limited and his brothers friend put the key to their Ford van in the ignition and now the car wont start because of the immobilizer feature. How long will it be till you can start it again?

Shouldn't it start back up when the correct key is inserted?

No, you have to wait a while. But we got it started a couple hours later we jumped it off their other car because the battery wasnt in the best of condition.
