my buddy is lookin for a new amp, i told him i could help him find one, but he is on a VERY low budget.. like 75-100 or less, he has 2 12" l5 subs, the current amp he has now is a 2 channel 1000watt boss amplifier which is doing nothing for him, the gain knob is broken..missing terminals on it... so i said id help him

anyone have an amp that could push these 2 subs? he doesnt know if their dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm (my guess is dual 4 ohm)

brand really doesnt matter, he doesnt know the difference between sony and a zapco.. just somethin that could make these subs bump

you could prolly get a blown one in that price rangeand boss //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
he bought the amp for 40 bucks... which was still a rip off

kid isnt car audio smart.. tried telling me he could outpound me... :/

till i hit the button........

lol well check ebay
i would.. but i dont know any **** brands really...

does sony have an amp that could push these subs? like 400rms per channel or like a 800rms mono watt amp @ 1 or 2 ohms?

i dont know this stuff :/

the lowest quality stuff ive ever had has been.. idk ive always had alpine mtx kicker, now added AQ in lol so never experienced junk :/

for 1 you cant use a junk amp to power 2 1200 watt subs and 2 they dont even make a junk amp that is big enough to push them both now maybe 1 yes n fact for 125 i can get you a brand new good amp that will push 1 sub at 700 rms true power.

The Kappa's have a high sensitivity rating of 93 db so the X802-5 would be fine. A good high sensitivity 8" sub in a properly sized box would fit...
