need an amp for my RE 12"

i have an RE 12" dual 4 ohm, and am lookin for an amp to power it with. looking for about 200 watts at 2 ohms mono, or i was thinking i could get a 2 channel amp that puts out about 400 watts bridged and run it at 8 ohms bridged. could you guys point me in the right direction amps wise and which option would be cheapest. and at 8 ohms wouldnt it be less stress on the amp making it run cooler?

i doubt a 400w 2 channel would be any cheaper than a 200w mono

this coustic amp looks pretty good. never heard anything about them but i know they make good crossovers.

That Coustic looks good for the price. They're made by the Mitek group which also makes MTX, Xtant, etc.

ok, i have read on here that a clipped signal usually blows subs, not to much power. so do you think it would be okay to use all 250 watts from the directed amp even though the subs rms is 175 and the max is 250?
