Need an amp for 2 Alpine type R's...

Not sure exactly what I am looking for but I have (2) 4 ohm DVC, subs. So I can wire them to a 1 ohm or a 4 ohm load. I would like to give each of them 500-600watts and keep it somewhat cheap.

Kicker KX1200.1 - I think the KX series does 1200 @ 1, but it may do it at 2 like the newer ones

Lots of options, I think the AQ may have the best cost/output ratio, and fit well in your power range needs.

They need 750 each to shine and a Sundown 1500D would be perfect but if you wanna back down on power then the AQ would be very good.

I'm running my two type'R' 12" subs with a Alpine pdx1000.1...The amp will run from 2 to 4 ohms at 1000 rms at all times from $400 on up,depending how you shop for your equipment.PDX is a class D amp,digital.The 'R's are intense with that amp.I use a vented box.Good Luck! Would like it to be less then $400-$500. New or Used. The cheaper the better.

****n.. Pretty decent price range.. Id say get a MTX TA 7801 for these babys.. I use this with my 18" Fi Q and it pushes it to its limit.. and then some. I have seen birth sheets with this amp hit over 1800 watts so Id say that the amp cant get 1500 wrms easy.. Perfect for what you need imo.

They go for ~$250 on ebay all day!
