After some searching, it seems everyone says pretty much the same thing about each and every company that produces HO alty's. Half the people will say go for it, others say stay away, and that seems to be the trend for all the companies //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Can anyone with personal experience give me some reccomendations please? If it matters, this is for an 02 avalanche.

I had to return my EA after 2 months of daily driving due to it having issues. Sent it back 2 weeks ago and I am still waiting to hear what is wrong with it and when it will be sent back to me.

I've seen praises for EA, Iraggi, Mean Green, Ohio Gen...

And I've seen negative reviews (primarily for EA and Iraggi)

Honestly, if you got the dough to drop, go Ohio Generator. A high-end shop here that does QUALITY installs highly recommends them, and the guys who answer the phones over there know what they're talking about.

EA and Iraggi won't charge as much (about 1-200 less than ohio gen depending on model of alt and car) but many mixed reviews.

I owned an EA and i didn't like it. Loud whining noise much louder than other HO alt's ive witnessed and heard. (Not to mention the owner was caught cussing out a customer after the customer wanted a refund for 2 defective alternators)

I'm probably going to go with Iraggi as it fits my budget.

excellent review. from the sounds of all the other posts, EA is a good budget alty, but they have problems (not in abundance). Iraggi and ohio sound pretty solid.

I dunt wanna spend an arm and a leg on this thing, around $400 give or take. I'll have to email ohio and iraggi and get some price quotes.

im the opposite. running a 1500D 100.2 and 100.4

i have a 200 amp iraggi and 1800 kinetik upgraded big 3 wiring. 2 runs of 0 gauge to back, 1 - 1 +. first off i get horrible dimmage, 2nd off. the voltage spikes cause spikes on my amp in output. so theres no way it rated @ 200. this is with a/c off lights off/ rpm at 2k

and lately i been getting a whine i never had. i think my iraggi is failing. he will be hearing from me soon. good thing i bought warrenty

i would probly stay away from EA and iraggi, ive heard alot of mixed reviews. most seem bad.

ohio gen, powermaster, mean green, mechman seem to hear all good things

if i was you i would pm mechman.
