Hey everyone. Was wondering if someone could recommend a 4 channel amp for my 6x8 pioneer door speakers. There only rated at 35 rms but your supposed to overpower them some correct? So im looking for an amp that puts out 50-100rms at 4 ohm. WOuld this be a lot louder and clearer than no amp? Also why are some of the lesser known brands that are putting out like 100rms only around $90 while the more popular brands that put out around 50rms are like $150? IM sure there higher quality amps but would i be better off just getting an off brand amp that puts out more watts? My price range is around $150. Heres some of the stuff i was considering. Leme know what you guys think.

Hifonics GLX60.4 240W RMS, Class A/B 4-Channel Gladiator Series Amp

Rockford Fosgate R300-4 (r3004) 300W, Prime Series 4-Channel

JL Audio JX360/4 (JX3604) 360W RMS, 4-Chan Class A/B JX Amplifier

MB Quart ONX4.60 - 480W RMS ONYX 4-Channel Car Amplifier/Amp

Power Acoustik CPT4-800 Class AB 4-Channel Car Amplifier/Amp

Also does my headunit need TWO preamp outs since i already have a amp for my subs hooked up to it? Im pretty sure myn does because the item description says "the CDX-GT35UW offers front and selectable rear or subwoofer pre-amp RCA outputs for external amplifiers. Set the built in electronic LPF crossovers for sub output to improve sound quality and reduce system distortion."

I haven't used any of those amps personally, but none of them are "off brand". JL you pay for the name, RF has always been good reliable stuff that works as advertised.

If you're gonna amp 4 speakers you'll need to run a pair of RCA's for the front but you can plug the rear RCA's into both the sub amp and rear speaker amp. Might have to redefine the HU functions to make the rear channels full range and not subs.

BTW you will very quickly realize that the stock speakers need to go..

Wait. So you mean i run a set of rcas from the back of the HU to the amp, then another set of RCA's from the sub amp to the mids/highs amp? Also i did replace the speakers. I got some cheap pioneers from best buy. :/

I think im gona go with the power acoustics. Puts out 80 rms @ 4 ohm and is only $90 =o. If any one has ever used this amp or has opinions on it please let me know.

So when i install this amp, do i just unplug the speaker wire from the back of the HU and plug it into the amp for all 4 door speakers?

Cheap amps are usually cheap for a reason....I wouldn't get that amp if I were u.

Spend a little more and get quality and don't just focus on watts.

i recommended a good old school eclipse for you yesterday, that looked like new,and would out perform any amp mentioned for less than $75.of course buy what you think is best..i have no other opinions other than the amps you are looking at,are nothing more than poor sq,along that lack any kind of rms power..good luck to you:uhoh:

You must have posted in my other thread asking if any one has ever heard of this brand? I made this thread before that one. I now have it narrowed down to the one you suggested and a clarion someone else suggested.

How many speakers are you amping? 2 fronts or 4 front and rear?
If only 2 fronts, you can do a 2 channel and get more power for your money...or bridge whatever 4 channel u get, since youre so concerned with power....
4.
