Need amp for 3 12'' Elemental Designs K Series can't choose between Dual 4 ohms or Dual 2 Ohms so plz Help me out here thanx in advance. 1200 watts rms

Two EDK's would be more than capable of running 1200 watts RMS, so getting two wouldn't give you as many problems in terms of wiring configuration.

But if you already have the enclosure for three, get the dual 2 ohm versions. Wire the subs all in series to get a 4 ohm load per sub, then wire those in parallel to the amp to make a 1.3 ohm load (number of ohms/number of coils)

Amp for 2 subs - ED Nine.1, JBL 1200.1, Phoenix Gold Tantrum 1200.1, US Acoustics USX 1000D

Amp for 3 subs - Cadence Z7000, Adire/Ampman Revolution 1500.1, RE 35-1D, SoundStream Picasso 1700D

EDK's run optimally at about 600-800 watts RMS, the figure given for the speakers from the manufacturer is absurdly low (for warranty purposes //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif). Though they'll run ok at 1200 watts, I'd go for about nearly double that. Something like an under rated 1500 watt would be better. Ampman amp, RE amp, Cadence 7000, MTX 81000d, etc. Any of the amps doing around 1700-1800 watts.

ok will i'm plannin on buildin a sealed box for them and i still plan on runnin 3 edk. Can they really run at 600-800 watts rms in a sealed box and i was wonderin how good this would sound for SQ and a little bit of spl do this have good potential to be heard a block or 2 way. Thanx for any help

O ya and i live in canada so i don't have much sources unless i buy off the net can u give me some sites to where i can find a efficent, good priced amp. Thanx
