Right now i've got 3 solo L7's (12"s). 1 is dual 2, and 2 are dual 4.. There is a comp this saturday and i'm going to build a box for the comp (and maybe for daily).

The amp i have is a kx 1200.1, and i'm running the single dual 2 off of it right now, I was wondering if i would get a better result with 2 drivers running off half the power (750 vs 1400 per sub).

I have a lot of space for subs, so i'm planning on running them in either a 7 cube after displacement box (2 subs) tuned to about 42-45 hz, or the single sub in a 3.5 cube box tuned about the same.

I'm also concerened about daily too, if i keep the dual 4's they will be sealed daily (i only have 2.5 cubes max net to work with). Or the dual 2 in about a 2 cube ported box.. right now the dual 4's are still sealed in boxes, and the dual 2 is in my jeep... I'll only have to pay like 150 or something like that to keep the dual 4's (returning the dual 2). Soooo... is the single 12 going to be louder with the limited amount of power available? because if it is i'll probly just keep it.. even though i'd rather have sealed versatility for daily.

I agree....I would do the dual 12" setup with the largest enclosure you can get. Amp will still the required ohm load...two bad it wasn't modified and you could feed it 16v.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

The Kappa's have a high sensitivity rating of 93 db so the X802-5 would be fine. A good high sensitivity 8" sub in a properly sized box would fit...
