Yea I can agree with that. But if they didn't make as much as they do then all the movies would probably **** ***.Actors make too much too. Society pumps too much money into a relatively obscure portion of its population. This is bad for the economy in that an unbalanced amount of money goes to a relatively small percentage of people. And the revenue they generate, the age-old argument that they should make that amount of money, does not contribute to anything other than entertainment and over priced luxuries like $120 basketball shoes that are unnecssary, and in most cases not used for their purpose.
like all star weekend etcWhat kind of events?
do u think money is what determines the talent of the actorsYea I can agree with that. But if they didn't make as much as they do then all the movies would probably **** ***.
The NFL has the Pro Bowl. Noone gives a shit about it, so I guess it's sort of like the NBA All Star game...like all star weekend etc
yah it sucks so bad this year. ALTHOUGH dwight howard just made a three lolThe NFL has the Pro Bowl. Noone gives a shit about it, so I guess it's sort of like the NBA All Star game...
I dont see a big correlation between actor's fees and movie quality. Sure the draw to becoming a movie star would be less if they didnt make the millions, but are the ones doing it for the money really the best of the best? probably not. And actors could still make **** good money, without making ridiculous amounts.Yea I can agree with that. But if they didn't make as much as they do then all the movies would probably **** ***.
Well think about it for a second. Acting to them is like going to work. Companies that pay top dollar for workers that do complicated work or work that only certain skilled people can do vs people that work at walmart and mcdonalds. Do you think if someone tried to make a movie and pulled people from walmart and taco bell and paid them $1,000 each that the movie would even be worth a shit to watch?like all star weekend etc

thats deep. and true.I dont see a big correlation between actor's fees and movie quality. Also, the draw to being a sports star really hurts a lot of American kids these days imo. Everyone wants to grow up to be a pro ball player, many kids making that their focus on life. But the sad reality is a very very small percentage of them ever will, leaving them with lost dreams, and an education that took a back seat to practicing jump shots.
i can see what you mean.Well think about it for a second. Acting to them is like going to work. Companies that pay top dollar for workers that do complicated work or work that only certain skilled people can do vs people that work at walmart and mcdonalds. I guarantee that if the amount of money that actors made was reduced that they would think twice about taking on acting.
Sure, if you want to use an absurd example of pulling people from McDonalds and paying them $1000 to act, then you have a point. But there is a lot of room between the reality of paying professional actors millions, and paying amateurs from a fast food restaurant $1000. Again, the actors simply doing it for the money, are in most cases, not the really good ones anyway. And you could still get a good incentive to acting without having to pay them such huge sums of money. What is Brad Pitt worth these days? Hundreds of millions. Think he would have decided to work at McDonalds instead if acting would have only earned him tens of millions? Or even just... millions? Your logic is seriously flawed.Well think about it for a second. Acting to them is like going to work. Companies that pay top dollar for workers that do complicated work or work that only certain skilled people can do vs people that work at walmart and mcdonalds.
