Navigation units

Only radio based one I have ever seen was an Alpine that gave voice commands, etc... and it was nice. I know my Eclipse has the feature but not sure if it will keep me from getting lost. This Alpine took my friends and I to a place 300 miles away to the door without getting lost once. I want that! Should I keep the Eclipse and ad the GPS or upgrade to a nice unit with that plus voice commands?

I have the Pioneer Avic-N2 ordered ($1012.00 shipped brand new). Should be here monday or tuesday..

I've already seen it in use in my uncles truck and i love it.. its been known to have a few flaws in navigation though, but so has mapquest and everything else..

also ive heard that every once in a while ittl bug out, tell you to get off the free way, then get back on..

tomtom 910 is a good unit..tomtoms nav is very accurate from what ive seen and the tomtoms have some great features. the 910 has text to speech a 20 gig hd with us, canada, and european mapping as well. and many extras like bluetooth, mp3 player etc.
