Navigation Installation

Hey guys I am new to this forum. I have a question that has been bothering me since I got my Alpine Nav unit for my 2001 Celica, if anyone knows the answer please let me know. I have a NVE-851A Alpine navigation unit that I recently installed. Well the thing is everything works great except for one thing. When I got the navigation unit and I installed it, the unit showed my position as being somewhere else. And it detected my movements right (i.e. forward, reverse, etc). It was when I calibrated the system and I reconfigured the position of the cursor (I redefined the current position to my address) that it didnt want to move at all. Now the cursor just spins, it doesnt move forward or in reverse (when Im moving of course). Basically it doesnt want to detect my movement. Any hints on how I can solve this problem? I have already connected the speed sensor to the WHITE/RED wire on back of the cluster. But I dont know what else I can do. Thanks in advance for your input.

how many satalites are you recieving at any one given point, sounds like its not able to plot your current location correctly, and also where is the antenna mounted?

Sorry, but I cant figure out how to tell how many satelites I'm receiving at one point. I think it might have been where I plotted my address. Because where I park the car (and where I calibrated it) is kind of like an outside garage, and the antenna is mounted on the side of the door frame, on one of the corners of the windshield. Is this a good location or should I mount it somewhere else? Thanks.

I figured out how many satelites i was receiving. It turns out that I have poor reception with only 1 or 2 satelites.

I had one more question, I got the navigation to work and all but when it "learns" the movement of the car it only gets to 99% learned but doesnt get to 100%. Do you know why? Do I have to do something else? Thanks in advance.
