first, i'm not a coaxil fan at all. if i was, i wouldn't be here asking. this is for my girl's ride. tired of her having a crappy system, but i'm not gonna spend an arm and leg for her. i will be keeping the factory hu and powering the coaxils with a DLS A1(50 X 2 @ 4ohm) for music we listen to metal... looking for some decent midbass and spl. here's what i've got soo far...

Pioneer REV coax's sound very good with a pretty laid back tweeter. I've also installed several sets of the Polk Db651's and they're a little brighter sounding, but still sound very good. Either is solid for the $$$...

you think they'll fit in a corolla... not worried about depth. you can always build a baffle... problem is the highth on the top mount. that tweeter sticks out pretty far.

image dynamics coaxils any good? yeah, i hear pioneers make the best coaxils...

I haven't heard the new Pioneers but I have enjoyed the REV series. Very impressive coaxial set for the price.

well... i just got off the phone with crutchfield. i know their measurements are tad bit conservative, but my problem is speaker highth. this really sux. hell it want fir most components because of this...

those kapa tweets are huge!!!! their almost the size of a midrange....
