They missed their target. If you watched the video you would see they meant to hit trash cans, and they missed.

Thanks for the first groan but no need to be a douche. I understood that they missed their intended target (as stated in the original post that I clearly stated I Did Read), but to launch 6 inches of solid steel 700 yards sure does take an EXCESSIVE amount of force. Also it's kind of hard to watch a video on your phone in a 15 minute break at work. So, I thank you once again, ass.

It says they were testing the velocity of the ball, so Im guessing they wanted to test it at normal operating speeds.

I like the show and this will only make it **** as more and more exotic experiments like this will not be allowed which takes away from the fun of the show. I mean how many other shows on tv actually use explosives to blow crap up??? Maybe alil more caution may be needed but I hope this does not hurt their ability to do some crazy stuff.

Why in the hell is there a residential area only 700yds from a BOMBING range?? I mean really.

I mean, at Avon Park in fl, there are no homes alloud with in 2 miles of that range so what gives?

Parts from crap exploding can easily travel 700 yds...

^^^ tru tru but hell we have gas lines running under our feet as we speak so danger is everywhere. Sometimes crap happens I mean if the bomb squad thought it was safe then it most be safe. Thats until something like this happens and stuff just goes wrong.. No harm no foul fix the holes and let the show do what it does and thats keep reality TV off the air even if only for an hour.

Do not know what the target may have been other than the garbage cans... but about 2:20 into the video you can see a garbage can with a cannon ball sized hole in it.I think they just grossly underestimated the power.

the one that missed was the 3rd shot of the day. that's why there were damaged trash cans.

I still think my favorite is when they blow up the cement truck. It's there...there's a insane noise.............and it's gone. Beautiful.
