First off, I want to thank Ant for giving me the opportunity to try out his customized oatmeal blends. I have to say that I'm not a healthy eater nor do I eat oatmeal often so to do this review some justice, I bought some other oatmeals to try first so I could have a fair template to work from.
I tried Quaker branded instant oatmeal, Steel cut Irish Oats and some various others my wife had in the pantry. After trying the four different "store variety" oatmeals I realized why I don't eat oatmeal very often! LOL.
So for the last three days I have had a bowl of Myoatmeal.com's customized blends for breakfast and in the evening. I am actually enjoying this oatmeal much more over the normal store variety. The oats absorb water very evenly and don't get the "hard spots" I found in the other varieties. The custom ingredients I added such as tart cherries, walnuts and banana chips are high quality and taste very fresh. I quite often eat dried fruits and trail mixes so the quality was immediately distinguishable to me.
My custom mixes were as follows:
Banana Bread oats with tart cherries, banana chips and walnuts.
Mint Chip oats with tart cherries and almond slices.
When I order more, I will stick with two completely different flavors, it allows for a choice when you are not in the mood for a certain taste.
