XXX no doubt.

****, my XXX 18 is so much LOUDER and CLEARER than my pair of 12L7's were. However, the L7's did have a fair comparison when I had 2 KX1200.1's strapped. Then again, I am not sure how long those L7's would have lasted. I am sure that the L5 won't last too long though.

Here is a pic of the 2 12L7's next to my XXX 18 Quad...

xxx if done right. L5 if done right. you get it? ask people WHO HAVE XXX DRIVERS what size box and what frequency and what their results were with there setups.... ask RE what will give you the most efficient setup. and you could kill an L5 fifteen. you know im not biassed because i have L5 15"s and im telling you its dependant on the install

i usually overpower my subs.... like my 2 kicker comp vr 12"s are wired at 1 ohm to 1200 watts... I havn't blown a sub yet but i know how far i can turn it up before it sounds distorded

wait... 1200 watts isnt killing that L5 fifteen? you sure its 1200 watts? because L5 fifteens RMS is 750... ive never given mine more than 800 each
exactly. now the L5 may take it and sound pretty d**n good doing it. however, the question is how long would it last? it really would depend on if the user is a person who listen to music at loud levels. either way, i wouldn't do that. at least, not with just one L5. just go with the XXX!

yea, but isn't the 18" in like a 9 cu.ft box? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif what size box was the 12's in??

Polecat, you got me! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

If those L7's I had were in a slightly larger box and sealed off, then I am pretty sure that the comparison would be even stronger between the two. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Regardless, I don't find it possible for a single 15L5 to be louder than a XXX 12! Well, not that it's impossible. I just don't believe L5 would be in a practical environment for daily driving. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif In other words, it would probably blow. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

ok i can't wait to see his face when he sees that i got a xxx 12" sub cheaper than his L5" sub and it kills his sub.... im about to be the first person in my whole town with a xxx and i will show everyone what RE can do... hopefully
