i've built a subwoofer enclosure...

its approx 6.98^3ft. tuned to around 35 hertz. Built for a cerwin vega VEGA 15D4 subwoofer that i just recently got off here. The people at Home Depot **** at cutting. Missed 3" from 2 of my panels and most panels were off, so i had to trim them myself with a circular hand saw, didn't turn out too nicely:crap: . Those are 2 six inch ports i got from lowes. Not really into slot ports. Total cost approx. $100 (nails, glue, wood, router adaptor to my dremel, ports, and i got a decent 18v cordless drill included in the cost too (i've always wanted one, but never really had the need for one). Cutting the circles with a dremel was a ***** btw.

Looks decent, not bad for your first time. How does it sound? I don't know much about those Vega 15, but is that box a little big for it?

Actually, i thought it would sound like crap and almost scrapped the project, but it does sound pretty good. It hits lows really nicely. I purchased a box program and set it for the "optimum" enclosure and that is what it calculated for me with my subwoofer's Thiele-Small parameters. My old setup, same sub, but a 12" version in a prefab. slot ported box around 2 cubic ft, could not handle the bass parts of NAS - "If I Ruled the World" too well, sounded like crap. plays louder aswell (compared to the 12") with a the bass settings turned almost all the way down.
