last time i checked when you drag an outside image to the background layer it would form its own layer how did you get them into one layer?

yeah you are gonna have to cut the car or whatever you want outta the background layer. you can use whatever you find easier i personally would go with the magnetic lasso but then you will have a car shapped space in the middle of your sig so i vote leave it how it is.

No offense man, but that looks bush league as hell. Completely clutted, the transparency effect you used on some of the layers looks awful, no cohesion, color balance is way off, you didn't clean up the lighting on the car, the emboss/bevel on the edge looks bad, the text is bland, and to top it off, you can barely see the only worthwhile parts of the slore in the background.

I use fireworks and feel its a much better program, especially when i'm creating vector images.

You might want to give that a shot and see if its any easier for you. Some people feel photoshop is easier for them though and like to use that better, don't limit urself to one program.

Well, i have never used photoshop before, and have always been too impatient to try it, but i got an acute attack of focus and sat down for a few hours and tried to teach it to myself. It was a tough few hours, but i started to figure some stuff out. And in my sig is what i came up with. Its not too pretty, but im proud of it, espesially with no help whatsoever Tell me what you think.
