3.0+ft^3 Sealed Enclosure

Hifonics Bxi1606d(1600.1x1-Ohm)

2x Kicker DVC 4-Ohm 12" CVX

Hopefully pushing between 700-800watts to each sub woofer.

Tips? Opinions?

I chose the CVX's because of their performance on the Big 12" challenge and the fact that they supposedly sound really good in sealed enclosures.

i got a 15" for sale that will beat those in that box!!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif:D

hate to break it to you, but the hifonics will NOT put out rated power (I love hifonics regardless though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif) I'd say maybe 1300 at most @ 1 ohm (I assume you are running at that) But other than that, the 1606d will do you good. I can POUND (on a 1206) for quite a while @ 1 ohm when out somewhere showing my buddies my system, and the amp stays cool. Literally doesnt ever get warm on me.

and in case you are wondering, i have a 1206d, so I am not against hifonics at all, this is just the truth.

The Hifonics amplifier really isn't an option, it's pretty much the only amplifier that can output the amount of power to move these sub woofers in addition to actually fitting in the vehicle as well.

If space wasn't such a factor I probably would have chosen a more name-brandish amplifier such as cadence, kicker, or sundown.

Well, at the moment I'm trying to figure out the best subwoofers to fit in that setup at the moment. The amplifier has already been bought and box is in construction but I'm still deciding on the subwoofer.

At the moment I am actually considering running a single 12" subwoofer setup and pouring more juice in it.

This is a slanted truck enclosure so porting or venting is pretty hard, the dimensions are 55"L 20"H 9"TD 11"BD with a few modifications designed to build around the support frame of the back wall of the truck.

I'm actually considering a 12" Fi Q or BL, with the Q I have the option of remaining sealed or going vented in the front, or aero port it from the sides. The BL is almost required to be ported.

Each of them will be wired to 1-Ohm to the Hifonics amplifier so I doubt that either choice would be underpowered as compared to the two Kicker CVX's.
