My transmission went out yesterday.

Well my ****** finally decided to call it quits yesterday. Its been acting up the past couple of months with not wanting to come out of overdrive and stalling the engine everytime I came to a stop but yesterday it finally quit. I got up yesterday, it was a pretty day, about 55 degrees so I decided to put my new amp for my components in. Spent three hours putting all that in then got it in and then decided to test them so I went to get gas. Ran fine all the way to the gas station about 3 miles away, pulled in got 5 in gas went back out to my car, cranked it up, tried to put it in gear, and it wouldnt budge. ****** wasnt pulling at all in every gear. So I called my dad he came got me. Went back today and pulled it back to my house and pulled the ****** fluid pan off hoping like hell it was just the fluid filter was clogged....took it out didnt have anything whatsoever in it so it wasnt the filter. So now I cant drive my car for probably the next 4 weeks while its getting fixed, and what really made me mad about it was that it decided to go out just as soon as I got my new amp in. That really pissed me off. Anyway, there goes about a grand down the hole to get the ****** rebuilt.

well i have sort of the same problem with the cutlass i have.

i seem to have built frankenstien with menstral problems when it comes to cold weather.

never try to drive a built motor with a huge cam and a holley carb in the cold. it doesnt work

When it was stallin at stop signs, was that your tourque converter, maybe it was goin bad.

Mine went out saturday :\ . Driving and all of a sudden i here a bunch of grinding. Tought i hit like a branch or something. When pressed the gas it just reved. Pulled over and there was transmission fluid all over the sidewalk.
