My thoughts on steroid use in Pro Athletes...

In a nut shell:

We pay for tickets, merchandise, etc. the NFL, it's players, and the organizations make millions upon millions of dollars. The people who advertise during the game make millions of dollars.

If i'm paying my hard earned money to watch an athlete perform and make 5 million dollars a year, I want to see the best **** athletes possible. The athletes know the risks to themselves, and if they choose to take it, let them take it. Who does it hurt besides themselves? Nobody.

And for those who want to throw out Benoit, all i'm going to say is I believe the media twisted the story and only told a small fraction of what really happened. And if by some chance it was 100% factual, steroids wont make you kill somebody. You have to be pretty fcked up from the get-go to do that. As far as injecting his son wit Growth Hormone, GH is used in Europe all the time for short statured children to help them grow taller...it doesnt really affect ones aggressiveness.

Back to the original point, if im paying my hard earned money to watch someone earn 5 mil a year they better be busting their *** and playing their hearts out. Agree or disagree?

I only made 2 lol. The first one was a joke, but this one is very serious. I was watching on tv about Clemens and how they are saying he used steroids, and i'm thinking to myself "i hope he did"

naw dog, steroids CAN lead you to kill somebody. they can eventually cause a chemical imbalance and when that happens things such as logic quickly leave the mind. nothing more dangerous than a person that can't think straight. Its hard enough getting through life perfectly sane, adding steroids to the mix only makes things worse when dealing with other flawed human beings.

Now I'm not that harsh on people that use roids. People wanna talk about them tainting the sport, but when does that stop? is a cortisone shot cheating? Is getting amped off energy drinks cheating? too much red tape for me to judge a "cheater" and want to strip them of records and such in a TEAM game. And if they wanna destroy their bodies fine. I think if someone is stupid enough to cut their life short for some records or a bigger contract go ahead. They won't even get to enjoy the record they hold or the money they've made because those roids are probably gonna cause serious problems once they stop taking them. Look at Giambi, guys was screwed up after he stopped using roids. Same with Bonds.

because you have benoit in the same category as baseball players. WWE is not a sport. because baseball is all about numbers and stats, and how you measure up against players in the past that did not have that advantage. because you are matching players up against each other that should be on level playing fields. because i don't want my kid to think it's okay to ruin himself for life after sports.

by the time you hit your 30's your not producing much natural testosterone anyway (relative to a teen) sooo I could care less if my balls shrink

nobody denies that. there is a difference between protein and amino acid as compared to steroids.
