My Subs Only Twitch, whats wrong?

Nothing talked about here worked, is it possible that my amp is like half blown? That it can still get power and signal from cd deck and power the subs slightly but not enough to get full sound?

Gain setting?
He beat me to it. I noticed no one mentioned the gain yet. I assume you have it turned up more than minimum? My first thought was the coils were wired opposite of eachother, but you said they worked before and the interior wiring has not changed.

Gain setting....I dont know if this is what your talking about but there's a bass boost option on the side that goes from 1-12 and i do have it on 12, turn that down?

Yes they are bridged correctly.

I do not think I have a crossover and I dont kno what LP HP is. sorry.

And I do not have antoher sub to test the output of the amp, what is a DMM? can i take it to like a local audio store and they could test it for me?

Thanks for all your help!

HP/LP - High pass/Low pass

DMM- Digital MultiMeter.

Sounds to me like you need to give up, or learn about the equipment you're using before going any further. You don't think you have a crossover? Think again. Otherwise your sub would be trying to play full range, and I honestly think its not.

Thats the reason I am on this website, trying to get help so that I don't have to give up and go buy a new amp. Thanks though.

Turn that bass boost to 0, please.

Now look for a knob on the amp (probably inset so you need a screwdriver) labeled sensitivity, input sensitivity, or gain. It might be all the way down, or close to it. Turn your radio up with a good bass song to about 3/4 volume, or until you start to hear distortion and turn it back down slightly. Now turn the gain knob up slowly until the sub is loud enough for you, or until you start to hear distortion or it seems stressed. Turn it back down slightly then. Now your gain is roughly set by ear.

Ok.

I have turned the LPF on and tried it off. I have used the Gain at like all different settings. I have more than double checked all my wiring. The amp still receives power and a signal from the cd deck ( a blue light goes on on the amp when i turn my deck on ). and still, NOTHING!

I hoooked up subs up to my brothers amp and bam they work. So im taking apart the amp and I will post pictures of the inside of it to see if anyone here knows if it can maybe be fixed? somehing must b wrong wiht it..
