need a pair of 8's that will fit into this set-up looking for SQ

Head: cda-9887

front: Spx-177r (getting 75watts)

rear: Stock

Sub Amp: Mrd M605

budget needs to be 200 or less powered by 600 watts @ 2 ohms. I was looking at CDT ef-8 or the ef-80, id8v3d4, and the new assassins.

CDTs is an awesome brand to start off with, a little price...AA is great too, it might fit your budget better

im sure there are other options out there, im not too familiar with 8s, but i think your current selection looks good

thanks a lot. i was just worried that with the laid back components that i have i may need a more aggressive sub-stage like a tc-1000, soundsplinter, or audioque 8. Also wanted to know if the high fs of the ef-8 was a concern in my set-up.

if ur lookin for 8's with a more pound sound id go with the RLi's or some assains or some DD's if ur going for more of a laid back smooth sound id go with the ID V3 8's

Lol @ the inclusion of that sub in an SQ thread.

actually, it is considered by many to be a good sq sub. Just because you hate ED doesn't mean you have to factor that in how the sq is. Btw, it basically the same as the ID8v.3 mentioned earlier, and you didn't say anything about that one.

Ever consider the RSd12d? Should do very well off ~600w rms in a 1.0-1.5cf sealed.
There's a few good reviews floating around.

I want the 2 8's because when i put my third row seat down and hual stuff i can just put a smaller longer sealed box along the side of the rear cargo area rather than have a 14 inch deep box protruding from the side of the cargo area. Also i wanted alot more out put in the form of 2 8's.

Type R's really should be in a ported box to sound their best and hit their hardest. +1 for the Rsd.
Thats more of a taste debate. And dont have space for a ported box in a the cargo area with a baby bag and stroller and all with the third row up in my pilot.

Oh, well in that case... and this is probably going to sound crazy.... have you ever taken a close look at or auditioned the Polk MOMO 8's?
I have heard the 12's before and they sound very nice but the price is on the high side and for that what would be better the id's, assassin's, or audioque SD208.
