my spring break project (pics)

Built this box for the guy that lives next door to me in our dorm. its 4 cubic feet tuned to 34hz with 2 3" aero ports that I had to drive up to PartsExpress to buy. they have a pretty cool store up there btw. Anyway, it is housing 2 Memphis Power Reference 12s, but i designed the box so it will work for most any 12" subs so he can change them out later if need be. The box is going into a 96 Pontiac Bonneville.

This is only the second box I have ever built, but I think I did a pretty good job if I do say so myself. on to the pics

I thought about going with 4" ports but thought they looked way too big and decided to downsize to 3" ports....guess i should have stuck with my original thought over aesthetics

i think you did a pretty nice job. Carpet hides everything, so i cant say great cuts or nice construction, but it looks solid. Ports might be small, but you have heard that enough.

there are a couple rough cuts because my circular saw was messing up, the cuts I made after buying a new saw were spot on. since it was only my second box ever, i think i did a decent job. next time I will increase port area for sure

thanks Enellz......the first box I built was a slot ported box. Neither one was particularly hard, just make sure you are careful with measurements and cuts and be sure to have someone help you when you go to assemble everything. 1 set of hands just isn't enough unless you have a shit-ton of clamps
