My speakers wont fit

I bought a set of cerwin vega vmag 693 speakers but they wont fit in my car. I have a 2004 honda accord coupe. The speakers have a built on grill that make it impossible for my to put them in. I tried making spacers but that didnt work either. Would it be possible to make enclosures for the speakers? What kind of dimensions would I need. I just need a temporary solution until i get a new set.

I'm not too sure however this could help:

Make an MDF baffle. Screw the baffle onto the current mounting point of the speaker and mount the speaker to the baffle.

the problem is there is limited space. THe speakers fit perfectly into the spot where they are suppose to be. Unlike most speakers the ones I have a built on grill that holds the tweeters in place. The grill adds extra plasitc so the speakers dont fit in. What size would the baffel have to be? Does it even matter?
