the problem is not necessarily the headunit, it's that a better headunit and the exclusion of the processor would give your new HU complete control over the process, leading to better SQ. the 360 is hurting the SQ as well as the HU. the total exclusion of both would fix the problem

How is that iPod connected into the amp? Through the headphone jack is still not all that great.

And I'd say a new HU as well. Much more processing ability and control, probably much cleaner signal and abilities.

maybe since it had 100k miles on it made it harder lol dunno if all the miles made it 'seal' up more so harder to get things apart, probably hehe
