I let me audio go with the truck when i sold it..

Bought a new car. Something are new to me so im not sure what to do.

Bought the car..guy says it has Boston Acoustics in the front and rear. With crossovers and tweeters.

Also had a Jl w3 10 inch in a custom box.. Im not sure what the dimensions are because i can not get to the box. So im not sure of the volume. The sub foam came apart and I am in need of a new sub.

Another thing is.. the AMP is a 6 channel JL amp. I cant even get the model # the way he had it tucked under the seat..

Question: How much power do crossovers take? IF its a 6 channel how is the power divided?

What RMS sub should i look for?

Will have more info later...any help?

Passive crossovers can absorb up to 15% of your amplifier's power depending on how good or bad the passive network was designed.

IIRC JL Audio has two 6 channels... One is 6x45 the other is 6x75

Depends on which amp you have. Regardless, you are looking for a fairly low powered sub with a 4 ohm final impedance. IIRC, both the 6x45 and the 6x75 will produce 150 watts at 4 ohms bridged.

Problem solved. Second battery reads 10.6v by itself. 🤦‍♂️ Was pulling amperage from the other 2 batteries.
