agreed on the amp, There is no way you are getting 5000 watts out of it.

srry bout that caps....config. on what? its 5000rms, 1.4 ohm vc., i have the recone for it at .7ohms, 15"....idk bc i bought it used.....

you need a better amp and better sub, there is no rating for a mt tech. it will take whatever you throw at it... as long as you arent clipping the hell out of it, but in your situation you are clipping the hell out of it...

haha wall it thats what i did in my old 150 but no room. what am i doin to the amp by putting it at .7 when it is 1 ohm stable? and what would be a better amp?

ya it was set up for the longest time......... eh then everyones **** went bad.... set something up in central ILL, where do you live in southern il?

keep the sub, get a new box, get a 2500D or a similar amp and run it a .7 ohms....

amp is fine at .7 w/o the bass knob and w/ gains set properly, 1200w to an mt is like giving a kid a tootsie roll and expecting it to be happy, it wants MORE!

putting a bigger load on the amp at which i'm sure it won't be able to run at for a long time, plus u have the gains 3/4 up in most likelyness your clipping your amp

for a MT 15", i'd say AT LEAST 4 cubes, with ALOT of port area (what people have already recommended).

You are definitely not doing that sub justice with the box it is in now.
