My poor Explorer is about to burn down :(

check your power and ground wires first off. look close cuz even a couple stranded wires could do it. maybe your remote wire is touching something, make sure your amp wires are all secure and then after that just trace the wires to wherever they go and make sure there are no cuts or slices in insulation where something else could touch the wires.

I'll run thru all of them as soon as a get a minute tomorrow. I'll disconnect the battery and see what I can find. I have a feeling it's my remote wire, I remember we had to rig that guy up when we installed my second amp.

Electrical is your weak area but car audio is a hobby of yours?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
Sure is, can't all be born smart like you. I'm about to go check out my wiring. If I do find an exposed wire, should I just tape it up? And you think I should I uphook the battery just to tape up a wire, I don't wanna fry myself.

you could tape it up for the time being but if something is exposed or the wire is sliced you should think about replacing it. unless its really bad you shouldnt need to unhook your battery to put tape around a wire. just make sure you look carefully at all your wires and make sure that no wires are touching unless your positive they are supposed to.

The past day or so, I'd be bumpin down the road and all of a sudden my bass amp would quit and my mids/highs amp would still be playin. Sometimes everything shuts down and I'm left with my stock door speakers playing. Somtimes I would start the car and just the stocks would play and a few minutes later, both Mid/High and Sub amps would kick on and start playing. And then they would both shut off again. So tonight I went back there to check things out. As soon as I reached my hand back there, something started sparking! I barely know anything about Electrical stuff, so can somebody help me figure out what is goin on! Thanks
you know close to nothing....
