my opinion on certain subs

i just started working at the local audio shop and ive always hung out there but im gunna start posting what i think about subs we hook up and what amp/box/car we were running them with.

we installed two 08 model hifonics brutus 12" dual 4 wired up to a powerbass asa600.1d @ 1ohm in a prefab 3 cubic foot box tuned to ??? in the trunk of an 05 grand prix. they are 600 rms a piece and we werent even giving them that but everyone there was really impressed at what they sounded like. they got pretty **** loud and had good quality. for the price we have them $99 a piece you cant get a better sub there.

we also installed a PG RSD 12" dual 4 wired up to a baja 1000 @ 2ohm. it was in a ext. cab 95 chevy truck. it was an outfiring box that went under the seat. they have exelent SQ but dont get very loud. will update as we install new stuff.

we dont sell alpine unless we get it in a trade. but for 99 bucks those subs are well worth the money. super impressed by them. i have heard a pair of type r 12s but they werent as loud as the brutus' to be honest

i dont think many people here care about the cheap crap most stores sell. or what they sound like in a prefab box. you have any better stuff a that place?

we have kicker, konaki, alphasonik,re, american bass, and like tons of other brands but those are the best
