i got alt whine when i installed the amp for my comps. i have a pioneer headunit tho and grounding the rcas to the headunit chassis helped in my case. but are all your wires seperated properly?

i ran the power cable and rcas on the same side, only because my rcas were too short to run them on the other side. =(

however, i did not run them right next to each other, the rcas i ran on bottom door pannels and the power i ran as much underneath the carpet as i could. could this still be it? their at least 3 to 4 inches apart form each other.

i used a streetwires ground terminal, cable is in terminal and its screwed to chasis. so that shouldnt be a problem.

tomorrow i will try and fix the problem. too late/dark right now.

thanks for sugestions, anything else? also get a turn off pop, with volume down its very minimal so that doesnt bother me so much, but would be nice to just have a nice quiet system

there should be some kind of wiring that prevents noises from being passed through to equipment, i know its supposed to be IMPOSSIBLE. but maybe its not? and it would sure make installing systems hell of a lot easier!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm.. Tbh, My ground is bolted to the bottom of the trunk. I used to not get alt noise until i ripped out my system and put it back in from ground up.. Idk what happened but its kind of been since my headunit sais failure on it. Think i fried somethin hookin it back up. But anyways. If you have a pioneer deck, ground your rcas. As for running rcas by the power wire, I have heard it is a myth. It might just be the amp. What kind of amp is it. Sometimes amps just give off their own noise. Before you do anything though. Check out your grounds. Make them nice and snug. Even try taking them out of the block and bolting them straight down to the chassis

Fixed

il try to reground for sure, that would be a nice quick solution.

hopefully that will work. could the speaker wire from the amp to the speakers be a problem. ive read and heard sometimes, but usually its rcas/ground or something else, rarely is it the actual speaker cable.
