when i was young i had a collection of RC cars. mostly monster trucks, but all were electric. well friday i recieved a new incarnation of my childhood hobby. i baught a traxxas t-maxx 2.5 monster truck. this thing has a little nitro gas engine, tops out at nearly 50 miles an hour. it is crazy, i jump it, flip it, crash it and nothing is broken. haha gas RC cars are very cool.

Someone should make a drag car that is RC because that way they would have to have the weight of a person or a roll cage, just a thought.

BTW that rc car sounds fun must have a great take off hahaha

Yeah but wouldn't that just take all of the meaning and fun out of the sport of drag racing? I mean the point of drag racing is to see who can get the better car built, and more importantly, who can have the best driver.

On a side note... if i had a spare 800 bucks to spend i would sure as hell buy one of those and drive it on the highway and shit. You could really freak people out with one of those things

For that thing to hit near 50 mph it would have to be highly modified on pavement with street tires and 2 gears. I dont believe that any monster truck rc car is capable of that speed out of the box. I have a Nitro MT and I beleive the best it can do is mid upper 30's. It seems faster due to the scale ratio.

the t-maxx 2.5 if im not mistaking has a 2 speed in it, it is possible for it to hit....40 50 is out of reach unless youve got some nice tricks up your sleeve
