My new ride!

I just picked this up from the shop this morning... it was my stepbrother's, and he couldn't afford payments on it so I paid for it in full. It was at the shop for something he ran over and didn't tell me or my dad, but it's totally fixed so that's good. It had some suspension work done to it.

Needs some new tires and its ready to go, which will be ordered in the next couple days.

Here's the car:

A 1996 Mercedes E320

110,000 miles

3.2L 217 hp I6

4-speed automatic

Sunroof, power everything, leather seats, abs, remote entry, etc

Pretty decent daily driver... it's very reliable, but COSTLY when something breaks lol. Im an upcoming sophomore in college, so hopefully the car will treat me right.

The only thing i've done so far is Rainx the windows... it needs a good detailing HORRIBLY, as my stepbro took pretty shitty care of it. Either way, after a good cleaning she will look brand new.

On to the pics!!!

First thing i'm doing is buying a nice Alpine or Eclipse deck and putting it in. Sony FTL!!! I would put the 9856 in, but I bought that before I knew what 2v preouts were LOL. Will probably get rid of that and the sony deck when I get the chance to remove them.

The Mercedes next to my old car -- The 1993 Aquateal Cutlass Supreme (lol).

So I FINALLY have a car to put all my audio equipment in that has just been sitting around.

My plan is to sell my alpine mrv-f301, alpine type-r 6x9s, alpine cda-9856, the sony deck in this car, and I should have a JL 350/2 and a 250/1 coming in soon, along with an alpine LCD deck.

I'll try to fit the 2 15s in here, most likely sealed powered by the hcca-d5000, and hopefully power some rainbow slc-265s by the 350/2, and then run some MB Quartz tweeters off factory wiring with bass blockers. To top it all off, before everything is installed I must invest in a pretty decent alarm system //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

How much did you end up paying for it?
Well, we will say I got quite a deal on it. It was already most of the way paid off by my dad, and I've paid for the last 2 cars of mine by myself, including repairs, and they bought my sister her first car which I never got, so my dad thought he would make it up to me. I'll end up paying over $3,000 plus all the repairs so far, so probably around/above $4,000 total to make it right. The KBB is around $6,500 @ good cond., so I told you it was a good deal. I'm just glad to pay upfront for all of it, I've never made payments on ANYTHING except maybe a gym membership.

Call me spoiled, but here are some of my friends cars that they got for FREE mind you:

- brand new silver jeep SUV, REALLLLY nice with factory in dash LCD/nav

- brand new hummer H3

- 2001 or 2002 ford explorer

- 2001 bmw 3 series coupe

My parents aren't the type to just give stuff away, thats not how they were brought up I guess.

QUite a BIG upgrade....... very nice but nothing i'd ever get. . . looks like an older lady car to me.
Yeah but for what I paid I can deal with it, and yes it isn't what I would have if I had a choice haha. I would much rather have this than to spend ALL the money I have saved up on something just as nice. I totally agree though, not really a teenager car.

But quick question lol, would you rather have this or the cutlass? Alright, thought so //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif. I almost bought a '97 civic, and I don't like the 90's civics... they look/feel really cheap to me. Glad I got my hands on this.

i like it. I would paint it black and throw some dub dueces on it
Oh most def! But my dad would kill me haha. I wanna black it out with slightly more tinted windows (they are stock tinted but just not enough) and throw some clean looking wheels on there. Nothing really flashy as I hate the attention, but something thats looks GOOD!

Thanks by the way.

One more thing budah... i've been considering gettin the cdt-ef61's... the euros or w/e.

How do you like them? Have you ever heard rainbows, focals, mb quartz, or something similar, how do you think your speakers compare?
