Leaving for commercial fishing tomorrow morning

10:45 flight tomorrow morning into a month of hell....

meh, its actually perdy cool. I enjoy the hard work, and im sure a few of you on these forums have either gone and done it or have worked in a cannery or on a processor over the summer. If anyones curious (i doubt it, your all assholes on this forum //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif ), i'll be fishing in Bristol Bay for red salmon. The last two years i made about $3,000 a week, and this year i will be head deckhand, so it should be a little more promising.

Just sold my explorer, then with this summers possible $$$ on top of it, i should have an interesting project posted up here in about a month //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif . So far it will probably be a couple 15's in an extended cab.

Thanks! All in all though, from personal experience, i dont really find it THAT dangerous. I mean, yes it can be dangerous in some situations, but most of the time its all on you. Think before you act and your golden. yes and no. We dont go out quite as far as they do (they **** near get to russia), and our boats are a bit smaller. I've been on a few of those boats tho. Those are some interesting guys heh. The maverick isnt all that impressive. Its beat up pretty bad. The cornelia marie was pretty sweet. But the Lady Alaska (on the 1st season of deadliest catch) is a NICE boat. It also has a sister boat owned by the same person called the Lady Kodiak. Lotta freakin $$$ in boats

The Reds are running pretty stong as far as i know up on the Kuskokwim. A Few ppl are already out and catchin alot. Mostly Chums right now but soon the Kigs will be running //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif YUM!!!!

it really depends on what fish and game does in order for us to know how far out we're going. They changed our boundaries three times last year.

As for reds, they are running strong heh. this week is what they call "free week" ( totally open fishing, fish are just starting to come) in the bristol bay district, and boats are already bringin in thousands of pounds in a few hours. If this is true, peak season is gonna be ridiculous like it was two years ago (i think it was two years?)
