yep.....the staffordshire bull terrier is the cousin of the pit......it has a reputation of being the "nanny dog" cause they are so great w/ kids
Too late. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif Whats sad is its always the owners fault.he looks cool. just TRAIN HIM RIGHT. no need for pitts to be feared and regarded as savage child eaters
It only takes ONE incidient. There is a reason that pits are NOT classified as DOMESTICATED.pits just take a little more time to train and a watchful eye cause they are not the smartest dogs and that's not true about them not being family dogs cause i had mine since my son was 3 months old and never even close to an incident that would make me worry in the least and it's been 3 years i don't like the idea of a second hand pit though you never know where it came from (parents) or what has been done to it cute dog though
My family recently adopted a pit-bull its about 10-14 months. A month after he had recovered from starvation his agressive tendancies became appearent. We came to the conclusion that his old owner was an white male, for he becomes extremely defensive whenever a white male approaches; on the same note, he is extremly nice to women, and 'non-white' males. We are currently in the process of un-training his agressive tendancies. This pit-bull is extremely intelligent, he responds to commands quite well, but he is really agressive. When ever he gets remotly excited he begins to bite. It isn't a hard bite at all, he has yet to pierce my skin, he also loves to Jump on people. I wont be able to stop him from doing this because the rest of my family enables it and think's its adorable... but once this m-fer gets a little bit bigger... people will be falling over. This pitbull is extremly fast, and agile, playful, and intelligent. If you're smart and patient.. a pitbull is a perfect dog. I love the challenge of changing the personality of agressive pit bulls. For the other 6-7 other dogs I've re-trained and put in good homes. My dog.. derby.. has proven to be the biggest challenge, but hes workable.because pitts are up there is the most tame dogs......you just dont hear about the other "cute dogs" there was a thread stating facts, i believe that was the number. its NOT an aggressive dog unless you TRAIN it to be an aggressive dog. To its unadvantage they are stocky dogs with a great build muscular wise....what does this do? gets them attnetion of being little hard ***** and dumb****s train em to fight. its not the dog, its the people.
you paper a pit it is a staffordshire terrier lol pits are a "relitively" new breed that have traceable (easily) bloodlines from other breeds. their short coming is that they are a terrier with size that can hurt/kill peopleyep.....the staffordshire bull terrier is the cousin of the pit......it has a reputation of being the "nanny dog" cause they are so great w/ kids
