my new L7

i just built the sealed box today for my L7 12" and i hooked it up at bout 10:00 to a mtx thunder 8302 amp wich is underpowering it like a mofo but it still hit harder than i thought it would in a sealed box and being underpowered by so much so when i get my new amp and get everything set i think a will be very happy

I have listened to my L7 for the past couple of days and there is something driving me crazy and that is that it has a bass with kinda a rattle to it and i dont think the sub is supposed to do that and i am really pissed and confused cause no air is coming out of the box so any suggestions would help

Hey i had mine in the same box. 2.0 cubic feet sealed, it really pounded and was shocked by this sealed box.

I got the same noise too, it so happened the big rubber gasket was coming off. The noise was very annoying. I got it fixed. Too bad the sub and box is in my room doing nothing right now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Well you mighten have known, but about two months ago i bought that L7 from my friend, he blew it and he sold me it for cheap. So i bought a kicker kit for it and a speaker repair man reconed it etc. So when i told him about the noise he took it back, fixed it for free.

What he did, carefully take the gasket off, clean it properly, remove all the existing glue-compound. It's a special adhesive they use to stick gaskets etc...it's some kinda epoxy.

Then he put it back on, left it over night face down with about 80 pounds of weight on the magnet, of course he sheilded the magnet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
