My new crossfires, pics!

Picked up my new crossfire bmf xt15's today.

Technical Specifications:

15" Cast frame subwoofer, Reinforced Paper cone with large Foam surround, 3" voice coil on vented aluminum former, Aluminum voice coil heatsink, DVCV backplate venting, Dual stacked magnets, 2.2" peak to peak excursion, Dual 1.4 ohm coils, 1500 watts max., 38lbs.

you got some REALLY potent subs there....

Check this out... same subs, getting 1000w~1200w RMS each...

it hit about 159dB, but dunno if it's linear X. Whatever it is, the box was friggin' HUGE. VERY impressive subs.

My box is either 7 or 8 cubes, can't remember =x And I'm going to try to get a zapco 4kw for them. The limiting factor for me will be the batteries. I only get 2 batteries for street b in dbdrag.

Well, judging from what I saw from the pics, they like LOTS of room to boom...

the 4KW? My, you're really going overboard now... can the subs take 2000w+ RMS burps?

i have seen them take more than that. they got a guy named gator who owns gators audio connection out of houma(i live in baton rouge) he built his competition car with 4 xt 15s and at least 4 crossfire 2000ds. he competes usac and the last show i was at he did a 172.7 on the dash. i was expecting loud but i was really impressed by the performance of his install and the woofers. you made a good choice for subs.

well yes and no

http://www.innovativeaudioinc.com is a shop a few hours south of me. they compete super mod in usaci with black betty which is a retired stretchlimo. they run 4 XT15's with 2 crossfire VR1000d's to each coil. this is also on a 16 volt system with turbostart batts.

so that is like way more than 2kw per coil.

they have taken a few out but the ones in there now are on show 3 with like 4 or 5 burps at each show.

u can hit these subs 4000rms for burps

u got the 1.8 ohm 1ns yes use a vr 2000d

btw, I know the boxes say 1.8 but they are indeed 1.4
