alright, i just bought an audiobahn a2300hct... i paid 400 u.s. for it. i was thinking of running 2 solo-baric l7's off it when i get it, cus they probably sound a hell of a lot better than audiobahn speakers from what i've heard. how are audiobahn amps, and is it dumb to run two 12" l7's from an audiobahn amp?

All in all, its a good amp. If you want to get the rated power out of it, get 2 dual 2's and wire it to .5...I messed around with one and liked it..

The HC series will take up to 17volts input voltage out of the box, where most amps would have to be modified. Not something a practical user would need/use but thats what it means...

Look at the fuse rating 160 amps, at 14.4v that consume 2304w before any heat loss. Wouldn't it put between 1800-2000w in reality? If it was me I'd upgrade the fuse to 240amps total, but you may blow it.

Isn't it a class A/B too? Therefore is would consume a ton of current.

lol i think i'll leave the fuses ALONE... since i'm not an electrical engineer like everyone else on the board and don't like blowing up things i paid what i consider alot of money for.

IIRC those amps arent stable to .5 ohms bridged... ive got the visonik version of it and i like it alot.

and HC doesent mean it will take 17v... it just means that it isa class A/B amp and draws alot of current and is fairly inneficient...
