I Was Using My Amp Today Off A Kicker L7 Then The Bass Just Stopped So I Stopped The Car And Opened The Trunk And There Was Some Smoke? I Opened The Amp And The Little Gray Metal Things That Have A Screw On The Sides In The Inside 1 Off Of Each Side Of The Green Board Was Covered In Brown Smoke Residue???? What The Hell Do I Do Really Pissed Off.

Man, that sucks... I keep having a problem w/ my Hifonics amp going into protection mode... no reason, the amps not hot nor is the speaker...I dunno.

I have a Hifonics Brutus 1606 that I push pretty hard.

I think the next amp that I get is going to be a Zapco.. I haven't really thought about it yet, but I know that I am going to have to get another one soon.

Good luck man, I know, it sucks.

You know whats funny? Everyone recommends hiphonics for a cheap amp... And I have heard several people say stuff like this... I however bought a Power Acoustik, and don't even get close to heating up that much...

You Know How Amps Have Little Gray Metal Things Screwed On To The Green Board. 1 Of Each Side Has Brown Smoke Residue On It.
yes we know that, you already mentioned it in the first post.

so take it out, call the company you bought it from, tell them you did not know what you were doing.
