1966 F-100 Custom Cab pickup
Has:
Big block FE V-8 ( not sure if 352 or 390)
Holly 4BBL carburator with electric choke
Edelbrock Air Cleaner
4-speed manual with a granny low
Ford 9" rearend ( i believe 4:10 gearing)
New Parts:
Brand new COMPLETE brake system, less than 200 miles on it including:
New master cylinder, new drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, soft lines, hardware etc. The only thing that wasnt changed out was the hard-lines because they were fine.
New Kingpins
New I-Beam bushings
New Thermostat
New upper Radiator Hose
New Belt(s)
Distributor Cap and Rotor
Rear end suspension was gone through, and all hardware was replaced with grade 8 bolts.
Tires are new to me, and still in great shape!
What it needs:
Mostly body work, has some rot in floors and bed, and passenger fender needs to be replaced (previous owner hit something)
Exhaust, it is currently running straight pipes, very freakin' loud, but it sound meaner than hell!
Motor runs ok, has never left me stranded. Carb needs to be adjusted. still runs fine. It leaks oil from the intake manifold gasket, $14 dollar part, i just havent gotten to it yet.
Electrical is a bit funky from years of being "fixed" i started to go through it, but ran out of time. Everything works as it should, with the exception of the Oil P.S.I. gauge, and the Temperature gauge.
Paint is in a very "Abstract" state. Drivers side needs to be sanded, and passenger side cab needs to be finished.
Above is a copy of the craigslist add so you can get an idea of what the truck has. I got tired of hitching rides while my cop car is at my buddies shop so i decided to buy something to roll and came across this. and for only $800 i couldnt pass it up. drove it from about 50 miles yesterday kinda sucks with the 4:10 gears and only a 4 speed but hey it runs fine and i dont have to smog it! Later on i want this thing bagged and chopped! going to do some work on it this weekend. dual flowmaster eshaust fix the intake gasket tinker with the carb a little and try and find a for 9" rear end with some different gears.
