My first "real" system

I think I may just get the SAZ-1500D because the RMS rating @ 1 Ohm is 1500w and run each sub off of that. However, a friend of mine said I may not want to go 1 Ohm because it will be more demanding on my electrical system and with the money spent beefing it up, I'd be better off getting an amp that can supply around that at 2 Ohms. Any thoughts? I don't want to underpower my subs at all.

Also, two 10's would be louder than one 12, correct?

why not look into some JBL amps. If you want to spend $500 on an amp there's alot of choices out there. I recommend JBL amps because that is what I have been running for the last 7 years and I have never had a problem with one their amps.

1 1500D and 1 15" FI Q in 3.5cubes at 32Hz would fit no problem, sound very good, and hit hard and low. Have that sub/box in the GF's Cobalt with plenty of trunk space left...
I can fit a 3.5 cubic foot box no problem. I'm just not seeing the height of the box being higher than 15" (since the sub would be 15") because the measurement from the bottom of the trunk to the top is exactly 15".

Say I was able to fit a 15", two 12's, one 12, or two 10's. Which would be loudest? If I could fit a 15" and have it just as loud as two 10", then that'd be good because I'd be saving money as well. The problem is, I think I'll have trouble using as much of my trunk as possible because there's the issue of actualling getting it into the car. The fact that mine is a four door makes fitting a box through the door very difficult, and a large box is definitely not fitting through the trunk, which is why I think to ensure I don't have any problems I should just go with two 10's or one 12.

I think 1 saz1500 can power 2 Fi q's pretty **** well
How so? The RMS on the subs is 1000w each and the amp puts out 1500w @ 1Ohm. Wouldn't that be 500w underpowered? If I get the Q'a with the BP option (which I plan on doing), wouldn't that make them even more underpowered?
